The Maternal and Child Health Leadership Development Program for the 2004-2005 academic year is comprised of the following components:

Informal Planning Meeting on July 30, 2004

Leadership Retreat on August 26, 2004 

  • Strategic planning
  • Student leadership philosophy and goals presentations

  • Working inter-professionally presentation by Dr. Ed Pecukonis

 Interdisciplinary Planning Meeting on September 24, 2004   

  • Students from social work, medicine, nursing, law, and dentistry attended this meeting to begin planning the minimester and community service projects that the MCH Leadership Development Program students are developing. 

2004 MCH Group

The MCH Leadership Development students presented their final report to Dr. Ed Pecukonis during a luncheon on May 6, 2005. The students were also presented their certificates of completion at the same time by Predoctoral Fellow Donna Leigh Bliss.

RFA 04-05 Innovations in Maternal and Child Health Leadership Grant

  • Develop a grant application similar to actual RFA’s
  • Interdisciplinary focus that develops a framework for integrating an educational and community service project approach to any issue in maternal and child health
  • Framework will have potential to be implemented regionally
  • Make a professional presentation to panel of MCH experts
  • Evaluated by MCH experts
