Rosa has 3 years of experience in the field in a number of settings, including work in case management in a mental health clinic, and in domestic violence support center. Rosa also worked as a youth activities coordinator in Langley Park, Maryland, and in a pregnancy aid center as a case manager. Rosa’s did missionary work in Peru working with children with HIV, and in El Salvador assisting with earthquake victims. Rosa has worked with at risk-youth in a non-profit organization in Hyattsville, providing youth and their families with intense case management, crisis intervention, development and implementation of prevention programs. Rosa’s areas of interest include diverse immigrant populations, especially families and children, victims of domestic violence, and people suffering with HIV and AIDS. In the future, Rosa hopes to work to promote health care access for low income families and children. Moreover, Rosa desires to work to promote and impact policies to create a world not divided against immigrant populations, but united in the effort to overcome the factors that forces people to leave their homelands and to foster a welcoming atmosphere in favor of displaced families and children in the United States as well as in the world. top . |
