Megan Simon entered the School of Social work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2005. She is completing her Master's following the clinical/MACO track. She is specializing in health with a sub-specialization in child, adolescent and family health.
Megan graduated in May of 2003 from the University of Dayton in Dayton, OH. There she majored in sociology with a minor in social work. Upon graduation she moved to Baltimore, MD and completed over 1700 hours of volunteer service through Project SERVE, a Catholic Charities program. During that year she provided case management services to homeless families at an emergency shelter and transitional housing program. Megan's internship this year will be with the social work department at Mercy Medical Center. She will be working as a part of the team serving the maternal/child and NICU units.
Upon graduation, Megan plans on working directly with children and families and eventually moving into a position that will allow her to advocate for children’s health policy. top . |
